Biography

Izabel Goulart (born October 23, 1984 in São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian supermodel. She is best known for her work as a Victoria's Secret Angel from 2005 to 2008. While shopping for groceries with her mother, she was encouraged to model by a hairstylist. To pursue her career she moved to the state's capital São Paulo. She appeared in the 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. She has also posed for photos with top photographers such as Terry Richardson, David Sims, Greg Kadel and Vincent Peters for such publications as French and Japanese Vogue, French magazine and Numero magazine.

During her first Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2005, she modeled a bikini made entirely out of candy. After the show, she says she actually ate most of the bikini, describing it as so delicious.

She is a big fan of Conan O'Brien, saying that she watches him every night before sleeping. During an on his show in May 2006, after being asked by Conan "What kind of guy do you look for?", she simply replied "You." He asked why, to which she replied that she liked smart and funny guys because she thought they were sexy, adding "And you know...you're pretty too." She re-appeared on his show February 28, 2007 and asked Conan to dance with her and to dinner after the show. He replied "Thinking about how to pitch that to the wife...", to which she replied "In Brazil we have a saying - You're married, but you're not dead."

Her first ever fashion show appearance made many Brazilian newspapers and shows the next day, however the reason for this was a rather embarrassing one for her. During her walk down the catwalk, her bikini top started sliding down without her knowledge, and before she had reached the end, her breasts became fully exposed. The Topless photo's and video of her spread quickly throughout the Brazilian media the next day.
